Welcome to the home of the
Blackstone Valley Bluegrass Band

Bob              Ken               Dan               Dave

BVBB was formed in July of 1998 and have been entertaining audiences all over New England ever since.  Consisting of brothers Bob and Dave Dick who play a variety of instruments as well as the bass/mandolin combo of Ken Taylor and Dan Nowlan, the Blackstone Valley  Bluegrass Band have a wealthy amount of talent and experience.  Putting on a show that runs the gamut of styles from breakdowns to waltzes, Gospel to folk, we are sure to appeal to the audiences wide range of taste in music.  Make sure to check out our bands Biography page for more info on all of us. There sure are some fine pickers in this band!

We don't play out too often...our prerogative, but when we do... we sure have a good time!  We put the band together to fill a gig that Ken came up with and after that one show we said  "Hey, this can't be it!". So we come out about once a month and put on a show.  We sure love the music and really enjoy performing for you. You can see that in one of our shows. The shows are just like our practices. We have fun, enjoy playing music with each other and just have a good time. Check out our Show Schedule and come and see us sometime!!

This is bluegrass!  You won't be disappointed!

BVBB NEWS 4/1/07
As promised there are a bunch of new gigs posted on the Show Schedule page . We are still working on finalizing a few others too!!  I posted a few pics on the Picture page from the Joe Val 2007 festival and I'm working on getting a video posted too. We're also still hard at work to get our CD out.....slow but sure progress is being made.
Also - we're playing once a month at "Mill Street Brews" in Southbridge, MA.  On the last Thursday of the month we come out and host Bluegrass night.  We're not sure exactly what's going to happen on any given night and you never know who may show up to pick with the band. COOL!! Perhaps a special guest or 2 - maybe a band - who knows. Come on out to see what happens!  Next show is April 26th.
