The Grass Roots Coffeehouse is proud to have the band back that started it all right here in Rockdale.  That's right, the first band ever to play the Grass Roots!!!   Blackstone Valley Bluegrass has become one the most sought after bands in New England. With powerful three and four part harmonies and fast but tasteful picking, these musicians are blazing new ground throughout the Blackstone Valley and beyond. Come on down for a night of great bluegrass music. You will not be disappointed!

Bring an appetite with you! There’ll be assorted hot foods and baked goods available for purchase.           Show begins at 7:30 PM    Doors open by 6:45 PM

Last year we were a last minute fill in for our good friends Valerie and Walter Crockett.  Well, they loved us so much they just had to have us back!!   BVBB will be playing our own fiery brand of Bluegrass in this real nice, intimate coffeehouse. The best food you'll find  at any coffeehouse too! Come on out! 

UPDATE: We will be playing a double bill with Aztec Two-Step!!  We'll be starting a little earlier so we can both play a nice long set.

FEATURING: THE PINE HILL RAMBLERS, THE TOUGH CATS and  BVBB!
The first ever Bluegrass Festival will be held to help support the springtime student musician trip to Florida for a competition. Featured performers include Pine Hill Ramblers, Tough Cats and Blackstone Valley Bluegrass Band. Come out for some fun music and support Pinkerton Academy Chorus at the same time. There's going to be a Spaghetti Supper at 5pm and then the 3 bands will perform for an evening Bluegrass Festival!! Sounds like fun!  We can have a little mini-festival in the middle of the winter!!
 
This event will benefit the Pinkerton Academy Chorus they have a large trip this year that they are trying to pay for.

BVBB is happy to return to one of our favorite venues to play.  This show will feature our smokin' HOT bluegrass and we will have our new CD for sale!!!!  The Bean is an excellent listening room, just south of the Massachusetts border in picturesque Pomfret.

This show is always a packed house so come early!! Yankee Magazine called it "One of the outstanding reasons to visit New England." The food is exquisite, and they serve beer and wine! Come for dinner and stay for us.

BVBB playing a Tuesday night Bluegrass show at the infamous Cantab Lounge!!  Informal pickin’ on stage or in front of the stage commences at 8:00 pm (unless there's an opening band)  At 10:00 pm, the Feature Band (That's would be us - BVBB!) plays one 50-minute set. Open pickin’ then resumes until 12:45 am closing.
